Alice
Springs, Memorial Club, Wednesday 7th August: Anyway, the show kicked off well with the only support act for the night being us so, we were up for some expectations of some serious ARSE Kicking! I think the audience got what they wanted, that being a mixture of some of our fresh shit hence the upcoming muthafuccin debut album. The Grinners put out some serious fuckin frequencies that night with their latest set up. I was waiting at one stage for their sound engineer "TONEOX", to pull the 500hz right up on the subs. Right about that time, when that fool was up the front laying against the bottom of the system, which would have left him in a bowel movement FRENZY!!! All in all, a killer of a night, (LIVERALLY). As Phil mentioned on their official site www.grinspoon.com.au so to all the music lovers of Alice, I hope you all had a great night, cause I fuckin Did! Katherine,
Rios Nightclub, Friday 9th August: This was the first time I had ever played in Katherine, ever, and was a little anxious about what was to be expected. The show was great with only the two bands playing again. The hotel owners were great to us, keeping our ever-growing thirst fed in that hot weather, I couldn't have been any more drunk at the end of the night, I think. Also, a big shout out to the stupid fucks who smashed our fuckin widows.
If the uneducated freaks could even turn on a poxy computer, they would
find out what they missed out on. Ie. twenty or so dollars of change in
the ashtray, and the video camera under the seat, dumb fucks! AHAHHAAHA!!! Darwin,
MGM Grand Casino Lawns, Saturday, 10th August: Anyway, we arrived only a couple of hours before soundcheck which turned out not happening as there was a wedding in progress, (who cares I say) but thems the rules. Ohh well, it didn't really matter as we didn't need to do it, were that fuckin good, Awwwwww!!! This is one of the best shows we've ever played, and the crowd made it
all the worth while. With fire hoses drawn and especially heaps of yummy
Darwin girls, it was definitely a site to be seen. At one stage, there
was some dickhead FOB, standing on side o` stage the whole show clapping
real casually going clap, clap "aww awesome, awesome, aww great stufff
yeahh awesome " yeah um, whatever wanker, only, thanks to Captain
Rampy, telling the stupid prick no one wanted to listen to him bleeding
(not blood) through the onstage mics while the band was playing. I think the total head count was 4800 people at the end of the night, which looked like there was double that onstage. Thanks to everyone in Darwin who attended, we had a great time and thankyou Grinspoon, for the chance of being able to support you guys live once again. You and your crew were awesome to work with, very fuckin pro boys! So After breaking down once again on the way back this time losing the
gear box at Tennant Creek, and the engine seizing 4 kms away from Barrow
Creek (oooooohhhhhh) , hehehe! All I can say is it was fuckin mad, and
that this will be one quick tour the rest of the lads and myself will
never
fucking
forget!!! Thanks a lot to everyone who did help us out, your generosity will never
be forgotten, and always remember what goes around comes around! Always! |
