Desert Sounds has 3 main areas of activity:
1) musical instrument sales;
2) professional sound and lighting sales and installations;
3) public address and lighting hire.

Desert Sounds was established in 1993 and is associated with Red Shift Artists Pty. Ltd., the management company for NoKTuRNL. This association allows Desert Sounds to offer quality advice based on real world experience; from making commercially released recordings to performing in large stadiums.

Customers include pubs, clubs, theatres, churches, local government, recording studios, music students, Aboriginal and remote communities, and professional and non professional musicians.

1) Musical Instrument Sales
Desert Sounds is a progressive retailer that understands the needs of Australians living outside of the capital cities. Desert Sounds guarantees that not to be beaten on price. None of our competitors are able to match our extensive product choice, or depth of experience and expertise.

Desert Sounds has a large retail musical instrument store centrally located in downtown Alice Springs. The shop stocks the largest range of musical instruments in the Northern Territory. Key brands are Peavey, Roland, Casio, Ibanez, Laney, Takamine, Maton, Jackson, Ashton and Pearl.

2) Professional Sound and Lighting Sales and Installations
Desert Sounds has many professional clients and is very successful in the install market throughout the NT. Clients have included: Tennant Creek Civic Centre, YMCA, Top End Hotel, Red Centre Resort, Centralian College, 8CCC Community Radio, Walpiri Media, Lasseters Hotel and Casino, Christian Family Centre, and Red Dirt Recording Studios. 3) Public Address and Lighting Hire
